Canada Wide Voting
Canadians voting in the Federal General Election (FGE) across the country have not been participating as much as seemingly possible. The average percentage of eligible voters to have participated in the last four FGEs' has only reached an outcome of 61.4%.

Less than 40% of the youth population (ages 18-24) took advantage of their right to vote in 2011
Increasingly, voters with a University degree averaged voting rate of up to 78%, compared to those with a high school education or less (< 60%).

BC Wide Voting
In the 2013 General Election, the low youth (ages 18-24) participation in voting was again prevalent. Less than half of registered voters went to cast a vote. This trend was also followed by the age groups 25-34 and 35-44.
